Lincoln Alabama

We are unique as communities go: Home to Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, along with the Talladega Superspeedway and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame there is a lot going on in our community. Housing varies from lake front homes on Logan Martin Lake to patio or unique styled homes in one of our many subdivisions.

For growing families our schools have all been constructed since 2001 and a new addition is under construction at this time. The football team makes the state playoffs almost every year. Our basketball team has one state title under its belt. Our parks are second to none and growing. In 2009 we hosted the state playoffs for baseball at our new Lincoln Park. We have a total of five parks with another to be constructed in 2010. We have one large walking trail at Moseley Park and a smaller scenic trail bordering Blue Eye Creek.

Riverside Alabama

Originally founded in 1882, and known as Readmon, the name was changed to Riverside and incorporated in 1886. For many years it was St. Clair County’s largest industrial center. Logging, saw mills, milling and egg products being the primary reasons. The Coleman Ferry, crossing the Coosa river, played a major role in this area’s transportation system. It remained in operation until the Bankhead Bridge became toll-free in 1937. The W.A. Coleman house, in its original condition, dates back to 1848 and is a period landmark in Riverside. One of the town’s many advantages is it’s abundant supply of pure water. It is perhaps one of the finest water supplies for its people than any town in Alabama, and maybe in America. In fact, the National Rural Water Association , in 2001, named the Riverside water system as the best tasting water in America.
